What is your vision?
Do you have one?
Too many service providers don’t have a vision – they know where they are, but they aren’t looking ahead.
There is a new paradigm in managed services today, and if you aren’t looking ahead then you are going to fall behind.
I see too many service providers who seem to get their vision from the pages of a trade magazine – they read the articles, and they create new services on the fly.
That doesn’t work. All you end up with is a jumbled mess of services that have no structure, no direction, and no definition of what you offer.
My advice – take a minute and look at your skills, your customers, and where the industry is heading as a whole.
Think about where you want to go – get a vision of where you want to be, tomorrow, next month, next year – 5 years from now.
Without a vision, you can’t develop strategy.
Without strategy, you won’t succeed.
